Taj Palace Hotel

We are over at 8-Tughlake Lane in New Delhi. Taj Palace Hotel is our name, but don't let the name make you think of those massive luxury towers. We are located on a relatively quiet lane compared to the main roads of the city. Tughlake Lane has its own rhythm. We've been here for quite some time, and the building shows its age in a few places. We spend our mornings checking people in and our afternoons making sure everything is clean. It’s a lot of physical work. The staff here is small, and we all know each other well. Sometimes we sit out in the back when it's not too hot. We don't have a team of people writing fancy ads for us. We just rely on people finding us at our address. New Delhi is a huge city, but our little corner feels a bit more manageable. We have guests who come back because they like the familiar feel of the place. We don't have any high-tech systems that do everything for us; we still do a lot of things the old way. It works for us and for the people who stay here. We try to keep the rooms tidy and the hallways clear. It's just a simple hotel on a simple street. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s just 8-Tughlake Lane and us doing our daily rounds.
