Taj Mahel Hotel

Our place is called Taj Mahel Hotel and you can find us at 172 Cm, 49, in the Normal area of New Delhi. It is not one of those massive buildings you see in the pictures, but we have been here for a good amount of time. The building itself is a bit older and has its own little quirks, like the way the front door squeaks if you don’t push it just right. We usually have a few rooms ready for whoever shows up looking for a place to sleep. It is mostly people traveling on a budget who don’t want to spend too much on a fancy room they won’t even spend much time in. We keep the sheets clean and make sure there is water in the buckets for the morning. My brother usually stays behind the small counter in the lobby while I handle the cleaning or go out to get supplies. It is a very basic setup, so don't expect a gym or a swimming pool when you walk in. We just offer a bed and a roof over your head in a part of Delhi that stays pretty busy throughout the day. The street outside can be a bit noisy with the scooters zooming past, but once you get inside and settle down, it is fine. We are just local people running a small business and trying to make ends meet while helping out travelers passing through.
