Taj Mahal Hotel(Tata'S)

Our spot is tucked away in Yusuf Sarai at Lal Singh Bhavan. Specifically, we are in Room Number 18 on the 38-A side. It’s not what you’d expect when you hear the name, because this isn’t the big hotel itself, but a dedicated office space where we handle the behind-the-scenes stuff for the Tata group’s hotel interests. The building is an older one and the hallway can be a bit dark until you get the lights on. Inside our room, we’ve got some old filing cabinets and a couple of desks that have seen better days. It’s a quiet place compared to the busy market outside. We spend most of our time dealing with paperwork and taking calls. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much if you’re carrying a lot of files, but it keeps us moving. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big reception area. Most people who come here are looking for something specific, so we don’t get many random walk-ins. Yusuf Sarai is a busy place with lots of hospitals and shops nearby, so there’s always something happening right out the window. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily tasks. It’s a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. There’s always a stack of papers waiting to be sorted and the printer usually needs more ink. It’s just a normal office life in Delhi.
