Taj Mahal Hotel,New Delhi

Our office is over in Sector 7 of R K Puram, at number 1161. Most people hear the name and think of a huge hotel, but here in R K Puram, it’s more of a quiet administrative spot. It’s a government residential area, so there are lots of trees and the roads are fairly wide. Our building is just a standard place where we manage things. It’s not flashy at all. Inside, there are several rooms filled with files and a few computers that have seen better years. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea, and there’s always a packet of biscuits open on the table. The staff has been here for years, and we all know each other’s habits. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front windows directly. We usually have to pull the curtains shut to see the computer screens. It’s a slow and steady kind of place. We handle the paperwork and the background stuff that people don't usually see. The gate squeaks a bit when you open it, and we keep meaning to oil it, but we always forget. It’s just a regular office in a quiet part of New Delhi. We aren't doing anything grand, just keeping up with the daily chores and making sure everything stays on track at our little spot in Sector 7.
