Taj Group Of Hotels

We are set up at House No-117, Swaraj Bhawan in Kilokari, Maharani Bagh. It’s a bit of a different setup than what people expect from a big name. It feels more like a house because, well, it is one. We deal with the hotel business from here. It’s mostly administrative stuff. We spend a lot of time on emails and coordinating with different properties. Maharani Bagh is a quiet residential area compared to the rest of Delhi. It’s nice to have some trees around. We don't have a big lobby or a concierge here. It’s just desks and files. Sometimes the internet is slow and we all complain about it together. We have a small kitchen where we heat up our lunch. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have the luxury of the hotels we manage. We just do the grit work that keeps things running. People often get confused by the address and think they’re going to a hotel, but it's just us here. We’ve been in this building for a good while. It has its quirks, like the light switch that doesn't work and the squeaky door. We don't mind. It feels like a real place with real people. We just get on with it every day. The garden outside is a bit overgrown, but it looks nice in the spring. We have a gate that creaks loudly whenever anyone comes in. It’s our unofficial alarm system. Inside, the rooms are high-ceilinged and stay cool even without the air conditioning.
