Sugan Cables

Over on Old Rohtak Road in Anand Parbat, you’ll find Sugan Cables at 19/275. This part of town is very industrial. There are a lot of shops selling hardware and machinery parts. We focus on cables and wires. If you walk into our place, you will see huge wooden reels everywhere. They take up most of the floor. It is heavy work moving them around. We deal with copper and aluminum mostly. The air always has that metallic smell to it. People from all over the city come here when they are building something new or fixing old wiring. Old Rohtak Road is always jammed with traffic, so getting deliveries in and out takes a lot of patience. We have been here since the time things were much quieter. Now it’s just a sea of people and vehicles. Our office is just a small corner with a table and a few chairs for visitors. We don’t spend much on furniture. Most of the money goes into the stock. Cables are expensive these days, and prices change every week. We just try to keep enough variety so people don’t go away empty-handed. It’s a tough business with a lot of competition on the same street. We know most of the other owners. We all just try to get through the day and sell what we can.
