Subhash Brick Field

Subhash Brick Field is over in Rohini. If you know the area, it’s a mix of everything, but we found our spot where there’s enough room to keep things moving. Making bricks isn't a quiet job, so we need the space we have here. We spend a lot of time outside in the yard. It’s mostly about managing the piles of raw materials and watching the rows of finished bricks dry out. The dust is just part of the everyday life here in Rohini. You get used to it after a week or two. We don’t have a big team of people in fancy clothes; it’s mostly just us and the workers who handle the heavy lifting. The office is just a small room where we keep the books and take calls. Sometimes the phone rings a lot, and other times it’s just quiet while we wait for the next load to go out. We’ve been doing this for a while, and the routine doesn't change much. We show up, check on the stock, and talk to the drivers. It's a straightforward way to make a living. There aren't any big secrets to it. We just make the bricks and wait for people to come buy them for their construction projects. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is hitting the yard, but that’s the job we chose. It’s just a normal day at the field for us and we keep going until it gets dark.
