You can find us at E-361, Gali No-8 in East Vinod Nagar. St.Stephen Hospital operates this small branch or office here, and Sisir Kant Porida is the person usually managing things on the ground. East Vinod Nagar is a crowded residential spot, and our building fits right in with the others on the street. It’s not a massive medical complex with hundreds of beds. Instead, it’s a local place where people from the neighborhood come when they aren't feeling well. The waiting area is small, just a few chairs and some old magazines. We try to keep things clean and organized, but with so many people coming in and out of the narrow gali, it can be a challenge. The sounds of the street, like kids playing or vendors shouting, often drift inside. We don't have a lot of high-tech machinery here. It’s mostly basic equipment and a lot of record-keeping. We spend our time helping patients with their forms and making sure they see the right person. It feels more like a community clinic than a cold hospital. The staff knows most of the regulars by name. We aren't big on ceremony. We just focus on seeing the people who show up and doing what we can for them. It’s a busy little office, and there’s always a bit of a queue in the mornings. We just take it as it comes and try to stay helpful to those who walk through our door.
