Stellar Gym-Khana

You can find Stellar Gym-Khana at 5, 17 in the K-2 Block of Mahipalpur Extension. It is located in New Delhi 37, not too far from the main road but deep enough in the block to be away from the worst of the traffic. We have been in this spot for a bit, and it is a pretty simple setup without any of the bells and whistles you might find in a big city club. The building is functional, and we have tried to make the most of the space we have. Most of our day is spent keeping the equipment in order and making sure the floors are clean, which is a never-ending task with all the dust in Delhi. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep track of things, and there is usually a radio playing in the background to keep things lively. The lighting is okay, though we have had to add some extra bulbs in the corners. It is a place where local people come to get their workout done without any pretension. We do not have fancy trainers in matching uniforms, just a few of us who know how the machines work. Sometimes the water cooler breaks down and we have to scramble to get it fixed before it gets too hot. It is a very local business, and we like the fact that we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It is hard work, but it feels good to be part of the Mahipalpur community.
