Status

Our office is over at E-57 in Bali Nagar. The address says Haryana, but we are basically right on that edge of New Delhi. It is a bit of a confusing spot for delivery drivers sometimes because of the boundary line. We go by the name Status, though we do not spend much time worrying about the name itself. We just do our work. The office is a decent size, but it feels smaller when we have a lot of stock or files sitting around on the floor. We have a few desks and some old chairs that have seen better days. It is usually pretty quiet in our street, which is a nice change from the main roads nearby. We spend our time on the phones or typing away on the keyboards. There is not any corporate drama here; it is just a handful of people trying to keep things moving. We eat our lunch together most days, usually stuff we brought from home in tiffins. Sometimes we go out for a quick bite if we are feeling lazy. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it keeps us awake during the slow afternoons. We do not have any big mission statements or goals pinned to the walls. We just want to finish the day’s tasks and get home to our families. It is a regular job in a regular neighborhood. Nothing more, nothing less.
