You can find us at 1 Jai Singh Road in New Delhi, which is right in the middle of everything. Being part of Standard Chartered Bank at this specific location means we see a lot of people every single day. The building has been here for a long time and it feels very solid and traditional compared to some of the newer glass buildings popping up elsewhere. Inside, it is just a regular office with desks, computers, and a lot of files that need moving around. We spend our mornings dealing with the usual rush of people coming in from the street and the afternoons are mostly spent caught up in internal tasks. The air conditioning is usually running full blast because the Delhi heat can be quite something outside. There is a lot of history on this road, and we are just one of the many offices trying to stay organized. Our staff mostly takes the metro or buses to get here since parking around Jai Singh Road is always a bit of a mess. It is not a very quiet place because of the traffic and the sirens you hear from time to time, but you get used to it after a week or two. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the long shifts. It is just a normal bank branch where we try to keep the lines moving and the papers sorted out without too much fuss or delay.
