Spring Travels

Our travel shop is tucked away in Chander Vihar, specifically at A-157 in the Nilothi Extension area of Nangloi. It’s a busy part of New Delhi and we’ve been operating from this same spot for a good while now. The office isn’t much to look at, just a couple of desks, some old chairs for people to sit on while they wait, and a few computers that have seen better days. We spend most of our time here handling bookings for buses, trains, and sometimes flights. People from around the neighborhood stop by throughout the day. Some want to go back to their home villages, others are planning a trip elsewhere. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how the booking systems work. The internet can be patchy in this part of Nangloi, so there’s often a bit of waiting around. We drink a lot of chai and talk to the neighbors while we wait for screens to load. It gets pretty dusty in the afternoons with the traffic outside. We try to keep the paperwork organized so nobody misses their ride. It’s a straightforward job, really. We just help folks get their tickets and figure out the best routes. Sometimes we stay late if a customer has a complicated trip. It’s just how we run things here. We've gotten to know the regular travelers pretty well over the years.
