Spicejet Limited

Our workspace is situated at SMQ 159 inside the Air Force Station in Rajokari, New Delhi. Being on an air force base means things are a bit different here compared to a normal city office. There is more security and the whole place feels very orderly. We work for Spicejet, so our days are mostly tied to what’s happening in the sky. We handle a lot of the technical side of things and crew coordination from this spot. The office isn't anything spectacular to look at. It is a functional room with several computers and stacks of manuals. We spend a lot of time looking at weather reports and flight paths. Because we are in Rajokari, we are close to the airport, which makes sense for the work we do. You can often hear the planes overhead, which is a constant reminder of the job. The furniture is basic government-style stuff since we are on the Air Force Station grounds. We have to wear our ID badges all the time, which is just the way it is here. It’s a bit of a trek to get to the main road from SMQ 159, so we usually bring our own food for lunch. Sometimes it gets stressful when there are delays, and the phones don't stop ringing. We just sit at our desks and work through the checklists. The atmosphere is professional but very simple. We focus on the planes and the people flying them.
