Our office is on the ground floor of house number A2A/183 in Janakpuri. It’s a regular street in New Delhi, so you get the usual sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day, like the vegetable sellers and the traffic. We’ve set up a decent workspace here where we handle various BPO tasks. It’s mostly rows of computers and people with headsets on talking to clients. It can get pretty loud when everyone is on a call at once, but we’ve all gotten used to it over time. We aren't some giant call center in a skyscraper; we’re just a local operation making things work from a ground-floor unit in a residential area. It’s practical and easy for us to get to in the morning. We spend a lot of time on data entry and customer calls. There’s usually a pot of tea going somewhere in the back for anyone who needs a break. The walls are a bit plain, and we don't have any fancy decorations, but it’s a good place to work. We focus on getting through the daily tasks without making a big deal out of it. It’s a small group of us, and we tend to help each other out when things get busy or someone has a problem. We don't use a lot of corporate talk; we just talk like normal people and get the job done.
