Southern Travels Pvt Ltd has its office at Wz 888 in Rani Bagh, which is part of the Shakurbasti area in Delhi. This part of the city is always moving. The street is lined with all sorts of shops and there are people everywhere. Our office is a place where people come to figure out their trips. We have desks covered in brochures and train schedules. It is usually quite loud because of the market outside. We spend the day looking at screens and finding routes for people. Rani Bagh is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we often have locals just dropping in to say hello or ask a quick question about a bus. The floor is just simple tile and the chairs are the basic kind you find in any Delhi office. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle for making tea. When the monsoon hits, the street outside sometimes gets a bit flooded, and we have to put bricks by the door. It’s just part of living and working in this part of Delhi. We aren't some big faceless company; we are just here in the middle of the market. Most people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood who have known us for years. We handle their bookings while the traffic passes by outside. Sometimes the phone rings and nobody can answer because we are all busy with customers.
