Southern Hotel

We’ve been here at D-55 in Vinod Nagar for a while now. It’s on the ground floor, so people just walk right in from the street without much trouble. Anshu Kataria is usually around the place or handling things behind the scenes to keep it going. Delhi gets really hot in the summer, and this part of town stays busy with people moving back and forth all day long. The hotel isn't fancy or anything like those big chains you see on TV with the shiny signs. It’s just a place to stay when you’re passing through or need a spot for a few nights while visiting. We spend a lot of time cleaning rooms and making sure the ceiling fans work. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but that’s just how it is living in Delhi. We don't have a big fancy lobby with marble floors or a fountain. It’s mostly just us doing what needs to be done every morning. People come by asking for directions or a place to sit for a minute to get out of the sun. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate what we do here. There’s a tea stall nearby that everyone goes to, and the neighborhood knows us pretty well by now. If you're looking for Vinod Nagar, we're not hard to find if you know where the ground floor shops are located. It's just a regular building with a regular job to do. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing things down, mostly just talking to guests and keeping the place running day after day without any fuss.
