S.O.T.C

Nehru Nagar is where we spend most of our time, specifically at 3 F 238. It’s an old spot in Ghaziabad and most people around here know the building. S.O.T.C isn't a huge place, just a handful of us sitting at desks trying to get the paperwork sorted for people traveling or moving around. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until the generator kicks in. It’s not fancy or anything. There’s a tea stall just down the road that makes really good chai, and we usually take turns going down there in the afternoon. Dealing with the Ghaziabad traffic to get here every morning is a bit of a struggle, but you get used to it after a few years. We handle a lot of phone calls. The office has these old shelves full of files that we really should organize better, but we know where everything is. It’s a busy life. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood who just want to ask questions face-to-face rather than calling. We like it that way because it makes the day go faster. Usually, we close up around six or seven depending on if there's a lot of work left on the desk. It’s just a normal office where we try to keep things moving. We’ve been here for a while now and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually.
