Sotc

Operating out of Khanna is a bit different than being in a massive city like Delhi. Sotc has been based here for a good bit, and most people in the neighborhood know exactly where to find us. It is a small place, really. We do not have those huge glass windows or the fancy lobbies you see in movies. It is just a room with some desks and a couple of computers that sometimes run a bit slow when we have too many tabs open. Working in Khanna means you see the same faces every day. We know the guy who runs the little shop next door and the kids who play in the street after they finish school. Most of our day is spent talking to people about where they want to go for their holidays. We have a lot of brochures sitting around on the tables that get a bit dog-eared after people flip through them. It is mostly quiet in the mornings, then things start to pick up later in the afternoon. We do not use much fancy talk here. If someone walks in, we just pull up a spare chair for them to sit down. It gets really hot in the summer, so we have a fan that rattles a little bit in the corner. Sometimes we even forget to turn the open sign off when we head out for a quick lunch. It is just how things go.
