Our office for Sodexo Facilities Management Services is at E-101/A in the Abul Fazl Enclave. This is part of the Jamia Nagar area in Okhla, New Delhi. It’s a very busy neighborhood and finding a parking spot can be a real headache sometimes. We are tucked away in a building that has a lot of other offices too. Inside, it’s mostly just people at computers or talking on headsets. We manage a lot of different facility services from this location. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a tour, it’s just where the work happens. The hallways are a bit narrow and we’ve got boxes of supplies stacked up in the corner sometimes. We don't really have a lobby or a receptionist, you just walk in and find whoever you’re looking for. The staff here is used to the fast pace of Okhla. We usually grab lunch from the local shops nearby because the food is good and cheap. We’ve been here long enough that we know the neighbors well. It’s a lot of coordination with teams on the ground at different sites across the city. We spend our days making schedules and checking reports. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s important to keep buildings running right. We just try to stay on top of things and keep our paperwork in order so nothing gets missed in the shuffle of a normal day.
