We operate out of Flat No.-3 in Panchsheel Vihar. Khirki Village is a busy spot in New Delhi, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a crawl through the narrow lanes. It’s a regular apartment that we’ve turned into our office space over the years. Sometimes it feels a bit like a home, which is nice, but it also means there’s not much room for extra stuff or big equipment. Sodexho Pass Services has its base here. We deal with all sorts of things throughout the day. The tea guy comes by around 11, and that’s when everyone takes a break. Most of us have been working together for a long time. It’s not one of those glass skyscrapers you see in Gurgaon. Just a brick building with stairs that make your legs tired by the end of the week. We keep the files in the back room and they are starting to overflow. The lighting isn't the best in the winter. We just focus on the work that needs doing. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside and it gets noisy. We don’t mind it much. It makes the place feel alive. We’ve got our desks pushed together to make space for everyone. It’s a simple setup. We spend our days answering calls and typing away. People come and go. It’s just how it is here in New Delhi. No frills, just a group of people working together in a small flat. We make our own lunch most days.
