Our place is at 48, Indira Nagar Colony in Shahjahanpur. It is a quiet residential area for the most part, which makes it a decent place to have an office. We have been in this part of U.P. for a long time. The office is basically a ground floor setup with a few rooms for the staff. We deal with building and construction stuff so there are always blueprints or site maps lying around on the tables. It gets dusty because of all the files and the wind coming off the road. We have a small cooler that we run in the summer but it doesn't always do the trick when it gets really hot in Shahjahanpur. Neighbors often walk by and wave through the window. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees, just a local team that knows the land around here. Most of our day is spent on the phone or writing down notes for different projects. The furniture is a bit old and the chairs squeak a lot when you move. We don't have any fancy receptionists or coffee machines. We just make tea in the back room and get on with the business. It is a steady way of life and we have stayed in this colony because people know where to find us. It feels more like a home than a corporate office. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way.
