We are based over at Bb-245 in Salt Lake, Sector-1. That’s in Kolkata, West Bengal, 700064. Salt Lake is a bit quieter than the center of the city, which is nice for us. We spend a lot of time planning trips and talking about the outdoors. Our office is pretty simple, just some maps on the wall and a few computers. It’s not one of those slick places you see in magazines. We have piles of gear sometimes sitting in the corner and a lot of notebooks filled with plans. People come in to ask about different places they want to visit. We just tell them what we know from being out there ourselves. It’s a small group of us here. We’ve all been doing this for a long time. Sometimes the weather in Kolkata gets really humid, and we just sit under the fan and work through the itineraries. We don’t go for big sales pitches or anything. We just enjoy the work and the people we meet. Sector-1 has some good spots for tea, so we’re often out grabbing a cup during breaks. It’s a good community here in Salt Lake. We’re just a bunch of people who like the adventure side of things and found a way to make it our job. Nothing too complicated about it, just steady work in a nice part of town.
