Smoke House Grill (Damn Good Restaurants)

We set up Smoke House Grill over in Janakpuri, specifically at B114 in Chander Nagar. It’s a decent spot in New Delhi where people know their neighbors. We’ve been around for a bit, part of the Damn Good Restaurants group, though we don't really talk about the group name much in our daily routine. We just focus on the food and the grill. The building is pretty standard for this area. It isn't some high-end mall location; it’s more of a local neighborhood fixture that’s been here for years. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and at the front, making sure things are moving. It gets smoky, like you’d expect from a grill house, and there’s always the sound of people talking over their meals. We don't have a big corporate team here. It’s just the chefs and the staff who live nearby or commute in on their bikes. We handle the ingredients, prep the tables, and wait for the evening rush to start. Janakpuri is a busy place, and Chander Nagar has its own vibe with the narrow lanes and small shops. We’ve had our share of rainy days when the street gets a bit messy and we have to put out extra mats, but that’s just how it is here. We aren't trying to be the fanciest place in town, just a reliable one where you know what you’re getting. The chairs might have a few scuffs, but it is honest work.
