Our shop, S.K. Jangir T. & Company, is located at 25/7 in Gali Number 8 of the Anand Parbat Industrial Area. It’s a narrow street, like most in this part of Delhi, and it can be quite a challenge to get a truck in and out sometimes. We’ve been operating from this spot for a long time. The workshop is always humming with the sound of tools. We do a lot of technical work, mostly involving specialized parts and assembly. It’s the kind of place where everyone has their own station and their own way of doing things. We don't follow a strict corporate handbook. Instead, we rely on the experience of the guys who have been here for years. If a machine breaks down, we usually fix it ourselves. The floor is concrete and often cold in the winter, but we stay busy enough to keep warm. We get all sorts of people coming through Gali Number 8 looking for help with their projects. We don't do much in the way of advertising; we just rely on word of mouth and being here every day. Sometimes the day is long and the work is repetitive, but there’s a certain satisfaction in finishing a batch of parts and seeing them ready to go. It’s just us, our tools, and the work we do here in Anand Parbat, making sure each piece is handled right.
