We’re over at E-51, Gali No 4, right on the edge of Delhi and Haryana. S.K. House Keeping Service Pvt.Ltd is basically what the name says. We spend our days organizing people to go out and clean. It’s a lot of coordinating schedules and making sure we have enough supplies like brooms, mops, and cleaning liquids. The office is pretty simple. We have a lot of buckets and equipment sitting around. It’s not a place where you’d come for a fancy meeting. We’re usually busy checking our lists and talking to our workers. It’s hard work and it can be a bit messy, literally. We started small and just kept at it. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we know how to get a floor clean. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just show up and do the cleaning. Sometimes we have to deal with difficult spots or stuff that won't come off, but that’s part of the job. The street outside is always crowded, so getting our vans in and out can be a real pain. We just try to stay on top of things. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if we are a private limited company. We just want to get the job done and go home tired. It’s straightforward, physical work that doesn't need much explanation.
