We are based out of Neeraj Bhawan in Mahipalpur. If you have ever been to this part of New Delhi, you know it is all about the airport and the cargo business. Singapore Airlines Cargo Pvt Ltd is just one of the many offices tucked into these buildings near the runway. Our day starts early because the planes do not wait for anyone. We are mostly dealing with boxes, pallets, and a lot of paperwork that goes along with shipping things across the world. It is a busy place with trucks coming and going all the time. The office itself is pretty plain. We have our computers and some filing cabinets and a water cooler that everyone gathers around. It is not the kind of place where you see people in fancy suits; we are usually in our work clothes ready to handle whatever arrives. Mahipalpur is a bit of a maze, but Neeraj Bhawan is easy enough to find once you get off the main road. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the airport staff and drivers. Sometimes things get delayed and we have to sit around and wait, which is just part of the job. It is practical work and we have a small crew that knows how to handle the pressure when the warehouse gets full. We are just here doing the daily tasks at 110037.
