Siddharth Communications is located at Govindpuri 6. This area is always buzzing with people, and the shop is right in the middle of it. We do a bit of everything related to phones—recharges, new connections, and selling basic handsets. The shop is quite narrow, so you have to walk in single file. I’ve got a display case that’s seen better days; the glass is a bit scratched up from all the years of people leaning on it. I usually keep a stack of newspapers on the corner of the desk for when things are slow. In Govindpuri, things are never really quiet for long, though. There is always someone shouting for a rickshaw or the sound of a motorbike zooming past. I’ve got a small fan clipped to the shelf that helps a little, but mostly it’s just humid. We have some regular customers who come in every month like clockwork to pay their bills or top up their data. I know their names and what they usually need. It’s a very local vibe. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a small battery light to keep going. We don’t have any fancy mission statement or anything. We just open the shop, help the people who come in, and go home when it gets dark. It’s honest work and it keeps me busy enough. I’ve been here for years and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
