Shruti Telecom

Being on the Delhi University Main Road means we see a lot of students all day long. Shruti Telecom is at A-37, and it’s basically a small room packed with cables and phone covers. We started this place because it’s a good spot near the colleges. Most of the time, kids come in for quick recharges or to get a tempered glass put on their new phones. It gets really noisy during the afternoon when classes let out. We have a small bench outside where people wait if we are busy fixing something inside. The walls are covered with posters for different data plans that are probably outdated, but nobody minds. We try to keep things organized, but with so many small items, it’s hard. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait for the machine to process a payment, which is frustrating for everyone. We drink a lot of tea from the stall next door. It’s a basic business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know us as the shop near the bus stop. We’ve had the same sign out front for ages, and it’s a bit faded from the sun. We close up when the street lights come on. It’s a decent living and we know many of the local residents who live in the lanes behind the main road. We just keep things simple and honest here.
