Shoppers Stop Ltd. is located here at 5/70 on the second floor in Nehru Nagar. It’s a bit of a climb up to the office, but you get used to it after a few weeks. The area around here in New Delhi is always moving. There is always someone shouting or a horn honking somewhere nearby. We spend our days dealing with the retail side of things, mostly back-end work that people don't really see when they go into a store. The office has desks squeezed in together because space is tight in this part of town. We’ve got files everywhere and the printers seem to have a mind of their own sometimes. It’s not a corporate glass tower, just a regular brick building where we work. Lunch usually means someone bringing food from home or grabbing something from the street vendors downstairs. The light in the afternoons hits the windows just right, though it makes the room a bit hot. We keep busy with the inventory lists and coordination. It’s a lot of coordination, really. Everyone knows each other here, so it feels more like a small team than a giant company. We just focus on getting the tasks finished before the day ends. Sometimes we stay late when things get hectic. That is just how it goes in Nehru Nagar. It’s a simple setup but it gets the job done for us.
