Shine Enterprises

Shine Enterprises has been sitting here on Netaji Subhash Marg in Daryaganj for a long time. Our plot is 3034/1, right across from the Honda showroom, so that’s usually how I tell people to find us if they get lost. Daryaganj is always moving, always loud, and always full of people looking for something. Inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter, but you can still hear the horns honking outside all day long. I spend a lot of my time at the front counter. It’s an old wooden thing that’s seen better days, but it does the job. We have stacks of stuff everywhere, and sometimes I have to move three things just to find one. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s our system. The lighting isn't the brightest, and the fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on the highest setting, but we don't mind it much. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the area who know us by name. We talk about the local news or how the road construction is taking forever. It’s just a normal business day for us, from the moment we unlock the door until we close up at night. We don't have any big corporate plans; we just want to keep the shop running and help out whoever walks through the door. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
