Shikhar Travels

We've been here at Masjid Mod in South Extension Part 2 for a while now. It's a busy spot in New Delhi, and honestly, the traffic outside the office can get pretty loud during the day. Most people know us as Shikhar Travels. We spend most of our time answering phones and trying to figure out the best routes for folks wanting to get out of the city for a few days. It isn't always easy because train tickets are a mess to book and sometimes the buses don't show up when they say they will. My desk is usually covered in old maps and half-empty tea cups. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a small office where we keep the computer running and try to stay organized. If you walk past the local shops, you'll see our sign. I think we started this because we liked talking to people about where they were going. Some days are slow, but other days everyone wants to go to the mountains at the same time. We just do our work here, keep track of the bookings, and make sure the drivers know where they are going. It’s a decent living. We know the neighborhood well and have seen a lot of changes in South Ex over the years. We keep things pretty simple here without a lot of fuss. It's just us and the phones every single day.
