Shhoppers Stop

You can find us at S 2/66 in Old Mahavir Nagar, right in the Tilak Nagar area of New Delhi. It is a busy street and there is always something going on outside our doors. The shop is full of racks and shelves that we are constantly rearranging. We spend a lot of time folding clothes and putting things back where they belong after customers have looked through them. Some days are slow and we just sit by the counter and watch the people walk by. Other days, it’s a total mess with people trying things on and asking about prices. We try to keep the place tidy but in a spot like this in Delhi, dust always finds a way in. The lights are a bit bright and the fan makes a clicking noise that we’ve just gotten used to over the months. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and we know the other shopkeepers on the block. We get our tea from the stall around the corner twice a day. It’s just a regular shop where we sell what we have in stock. There is no big secret to Shhoppers Stop, we just open up in the morning and stay until late evening. Sometimes we get new stuff in and have to find room for it on the floor. It’s a bit of a squeeze but that’s just how Old Mahavir Nagar is for everyone.
