Shervani New Delhi

Shervani New Delhi is located at R-25 Vani Vihar in the Uttam Nagar area. It’s a busy part of the city, and our building sits right in the middle of a residential block. We spend our days managing the rooms and making sure the laundry is getting done on time. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around and checking that everything is in its place before the next person arrives. The lobby isn't very big, so it can feel a bit crowded when a few people arrive at the same time with their suitcases. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and simple meals, and the smell of spices usually drifts through the hallway around noon. The staff is mostly local guys who live nearby, so we walk or take the cycle-rickshaw to get here. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just answer the phone and write down bookings in a large diary that’s seen better days. The windows look out over the street, so there’s always something to see, like the vegetable sellers or the kids playing outside. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people coming and going, there’s always a bit of dust or a smudge on the glass that needs cleaning. It’s just a humble place to stay in a loud, lively part of New Delhi where we try to keep things organized for our guests.
