Down in Chhattarpur Village at house number 108, that’s where you’ll find us. We’ve been here at Shell Transource Ltd for some time now. New Delhi-110074 is a busy part of town, and the village streets can be a real pain to navigate if you have a big truck. Most of our work involves moving things from one place to another. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to drivers on their mobile phones throughout the day. The office is small and gets a bit dusty because of all the construction nearby. We have a few desks shoved together and a small cooler for water. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine. It’s just where we work. In the mornings, it’s a bit of a scramble to get the schedules right. Sometimes a driver gets stuck or a vehicle breaks down, and then everyone is shouting a bit to get it sorted. But it’s all in a day's work. We know the neighbors around here well. It’s a mix of homes and small businesses like ours. We don’t use any fancy systems, just some notebooks and a couple of computers that have seen better days. It feels more like a family shop than a big company. We stay late most nights making sure the paperwork is done for the next morning. It’s tiring but it’s what we do. Chhattarpur is a loud place but we like it.
