Shashi Travels & Tours Pvt Ltd is tucked away in Mandir Wali Gali, right opposite West Patel Nagar in New Delhi. Our office is at 2597/1 on the second floor. It’s a narrow street, and like the name says, there’s a temple nearby that everyone uses as a landmark. Being in Delhi, it is always noisy and there is always a lot of dust from the road. We spend our days in a small room filled with travel brochures and folders. We are constantly on the phone trying to book buses or check on train tickets for our customers. Patel Nagar is a busy place, so there’s always people moving around outside. The office isn't very modern. We have some old fans and desks that have seen better days. It gets pretty hot in the summer, so we just try to keep the air moving as best as we can. Most of the people who come to us are locals who want to plan a trip for their families. We don't have any flashy marketing; we just talk to people and help them figure out their travel plans. Sometimes the traffic in the gali gets so bad that even walking is hard, but we are used to it by now. It’s just a regular, busy life in a Delhi travel office. We just do our work and keep things moving. We try to be helpful to anyone who stops by.
