We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been around since we started. The floor is that old-fashioned stone that stays cold in the winter. We spend most of our time here dealing with paperwork and talking to people who drop by. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door is the one who says hello. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when the afternoon slump hits. The traffic in Vinoba Puri can be a bit of a headache during rush hour, so we usually stay late to let it clear out before heading home. There’s a lot of history in these walls, even if it’s just the history of us working hard every day. We don't use much technology beyond what is absolutely necessary. A couple of reliable computers and a printer that occasionally needs a good smack to start working again. It’s a humble spot but it’s ours. We just try to get the jobs done without making a big fuss about it. That is how we have always done things here. We just take it one day at a time and keep our heads down.
