Shanti Home

You can find us in Janakpuri, New Delhi, at A-1/300. We call this place Shanti Home because we really try to keep it as a home for everyone who comes through our doors. It is a residential building that we have set up for our guests. We don't have a big fancy entrance or a doorman in a uniform. It is just a regular house where we take care of people. The rooms are basic but we make sure they are clean and have what you need. We spend a lot of our time doing the daily chores like changing sheets and making sure the kitchen is stocked. It is a quiet street for the most part, though you can hear the local market sounds in the distance. We have a few plants in the front that we try to water every day. The Delhi heat can be tough on them. We aren't a big chain of hotels. We are just a local place run by people who live here. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble and we have to call the local repairman. He usually takes his time getting here. We don't have a big corporate office telling us what to do. We just make decisions based on what seems right at the moment. It is a very simple way of doing things. We just hope people feel comfortable when they stay with us. That is really all we are about.
