Shangri-La Hotel

My name is on the door here at Shangri-La Hotel in Delhi. We are located near the Ramlil Rice Mill in the Laldora part of Rithala. If you know the area, it is easy to find, but for others, just look for Y K Saxena at 935/2. The rice mill is a big landmark for us and the trucks go by all day. It’s a busy spot but that is just how Rithala is. We have been here for a while now and the neighborhood knows us. It isn’t a fancy place with big signs everywhere. It is more of a local spot where people stop by when they have business in this part of Delhi. The building is simple and we try to keep things running smooth without a lot of noise. You can see the dust from the road sometimes but we keep the rooms as clean as we can. Most people coming here are doing work nearby or visiting family in the Laldora area. We don't have a big fancy lobby like the hotels downtown. It is just a desk and a place to sit for a minute. Saxena handles most of the daily things that come up. If you get lost near the mill just ask someone for the hotel near the 935 block. We are just regular people working here and trying to make it work. It’s nothing more than that really. We focus on getting through the day.
