Shangri La Hotel Delhi

This might seem a bit confusing because the name is Shangri La Hotel Delhi, but we are actually over at Bq-173 in Shalimar Bagh. It is a residential-looking spot in Delhi 88, not a big towering hotel building like you might expect from the name. We use this space for our administrative and back-end work. There are a few of us here every day, sitting at our desks and going through files. The neighborhood is pretty standard for Shalimar Bagh—lots of houses close together and kids playing in the street in the evening. Our office is just a regular room with some basic furniture and a couple of computers that have been through a lot. We spend our time coordinating things, making phone calls, and keeping track of schedules. It is a lot of data entry and talking to people on the other end of the line. We don't have any uniforms or a fancy lobby here. It is just a place where we come to work and do our jobs. Sometimes the water cooler leaks a bit and we have to put a towel under it. We take turns bringing in snacks from the local market. It is a very down-to-earth environment. We don't really do much in the way of decoration, just a calendar on the wall and some folders stacked up. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. It keeps us busy.
