Our place is in Mahavir Enclave, over in Palam, New Delhi. It is basically a BPO setup, so the rooms are full of desks and computer screens. It is not a very fancy building or anything, just a workspace where we get things done every day. The traffic in this part of Delhi can be a real headache, so the office starts filling up at different times as people arrive. We handle a lot of phone calls and data entry tasks here. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is something everyone looks forward to. We have some plants sitting on the windowsills, but they don’t get much water. Most of us just bring lunch from home and eat together while talking about whatever is on the news. It is a busy atmosphere with the constant sound of typing and people talking on their headsets. We try to keep the files organized, but by the time Friday comes around, the desks are usually covered in stray papers. The street outside is always noisy because Palam is a crowded area. We’ve been here in Haryana for a while and the neighbors know us. There is no corporate dress code here, just normal clothes and hard work. We stay focused on the tasks we have for the week and try to keep things moving along without too much fuss or complicated meetings.
