Select Hotel

You can find us in Sector 4 of Gurgaon. Haryana has changed so much lately with all the high-rise apartments, but our corner of Sector 4 still feels like the old days in a way. The hotel is a basic building. We don’t have a swimming pool or a gym, just rooms for people who are in town for a bit of business or visiting family. I spend most of my mornings at the front desk checking the registers. It’s a lot of paperwork. The address is easy to find once you get into the sector, though the roads can be a bit bumpy after the rains. We have a small kitchen where we make some tea and basic breakfast for the guests. It’s not a five-star experience, and we don't pretend it is. Most of our guests are regulars who have been coming here for years. They like that it’s familiar. We know which room has the better view of the street and which one stays cooler in the summer. It gets quite hot in Gurgaon, so the AC units are always working hard. We just keep things running as well as we can, making sure the linens are washed and the floors are swept. It’s a plain, honest living for us here in the middle of the city. We don't do anything too fancy, just the daily work.
