Select Holiday Resort, Manesar, New Gurgaon

Even though the resort is out in Manesar, our office where we handle things is at 29-E, Type-B in Aram Bagh. This is on Chitra Gupta Road in New Delhi. It’s an older area with a lot of character and quite a bit of dust. The building is a Type-B government-style structure, so it’s very sturdy but not very modern. We’ve got a few rooms here where we keep the records and handle the paperwork. It’s a bit of a trek from the actual resort, but this is where the administrative stuff happens. The road outside, Chitra Gupta Road, is always packed with cars and people heading toward the station. It can get pretty loud during the day. We have some old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. There is a small window that lets in some light, but mostly we use the overhead tubes. We don’t really have a lot of visitors here, so we don’t worry about making it look like a palace. It’s just a place to sit and work. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the weekend. The office is functional and it serves its purpose for us. It’s a simple setup in a very busy, very old part of the city. We just stay busy with our daily tasks. Most of us have worked here for years.
