We spend most of our time at 81, South Anarkali Extention getting things ready for the next crowd. It’s a cinema, so there’s always something to fix or a projector to check. Most of us have been working here in Delhi for quite a while now. We open up early, sweep the halls, and make sure the snack counter is stocked up with enough stuff for the evening rush. It gets pretty loud when the big movies play, but you get used to it after a week. The neighborhood around South Anarkali is always busy, which keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up or someone spills a whole bucket of popcorn in the back row, and we just have to deal with it right then. We aren't some giant corporate office with fancy suits; usually, we’re just in our work shirts trying to keep the schedule running on time. If a show is late, people get annoyed, so we really try to watch the clock. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. Moving heavy reels or now just managing the digital files takes up the whole afternoon. We stay late until the last person leaves and the lights go out. It's just a regular local spot where people come to sit for a few hours and forget about their own work. We just keep the place going and hope the equipment stays running until the end of the night.
