Our office is tucked away in Katgharurpura, right near the Saurabh Book Depot in Muradabad. It’s a spot many local people know, which makes it easy to find us. We have been here for a good while now, just handling the usual travel needs that come up. Whether someone needs a car for a family trip or a ticket for a long-distance bus, they usually stop by and have a seat on the plastic chairs we keep for visitors. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few old calendars and a map of the state. We don’t have any of those slick brochures you see in big cities. Instead, we just talk to people and figure out what works for them. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people heading to the bookshop. Inside, it’s just me and a couple of friends running the show. We have an old computer that takes a while to start up, but it gets the job done eventually. Most of our bookings are written in a thick diary we keep on the main desk. Muradabad is a busy place, so we stay on our toes. Sometimes a customer brings us some sweets if a trip went well, which is always nice. We don't have any grand plans, just keeping the shop open and helping folks get where they need to go. It is a regular day for us.
