Sahara Hotel Complex

Our place is at T-510, F-23, A-1 in Gali Number 2. It is right in the middle of New Delhi where everything is always moving fast. The building is tucked away in a narrow lane and you have to look closely for the sign. We manage several rooms here and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. There is always a leak to fix or a light bulb that needs changing. The street outside is full of shops and motorcycles zipping past. It can get quite loud during the day but that is just how Gali Number 2 is. We spend our time checking people in and out and making sure the blankets are fresh. The hallways are a bit narrow and we have to move carefully when carrying the cleaning supplies. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the guest register. It is an old book and the pages are starting to yellow. We don't have a big lobby or a lift. People just use the stairs. We know the chai shop owner next door and he brings us tea when we can't leave the desk. It is a basic setup for people who need a place to sleep. We do our best to keep the dust out but it is a constant battle in this part of town.
