S S Cable

S S Cable is at A 5 on New Rohtak Road in the Anand Parbat area. It is a busy industrial zone with many workshops and small factories around us. Our place is full of heavy cables and big wooden spools. The concrete floor has some cracks in it from the weight of the materials. We have a heavy iron gate at the front entrance. It is always a bit of a struggle to push it open every morning. The work we do is loud and very physical. We spend the day moving the cables around. It is dusty here and the air feels heavy sometimes. We have an old metal desk in the corner where we keep the bills and paperwork. The phone rings often with people asking about what we have in stock. We do not have any fancy brochures to give out. We just tell people the prices over the phone. New Rohtak Road is always crowded with big trucks and tractors. Sometimes these trucks block our entrance and we have to go out and ask the drivers to move. It is just part of the daily routine in Anand Parbat. We have a small corner where we keep a little stove for making tea. It is the best part of the day when we sit for a break. We are just handling cables and getting them ready for transport. The afternoon sun makes the shop quite warm.
