Ruchi Rasoi

Ruchi Rasoi is located at G-264 in Phase-6 of Ayanagar. We operate out of a space that is care of Mr. Mathew K.J. It is mostly a kitchen where we spend our time cooking meals for the local community. Ayanagar is a very busy part of New Delhi, and our street is usually packed with people and scooters. We don't have a big sign or a fancy storefront. Most people find us through word of mouth. The kitchen is the heart of what we do. It is always warm in there, and there is usually a pot of something bubbling on the stove. We start early in the morning to get everything prepped. We chop a lot of onions and ginger every single day. It is hard work and our backs usually ache by the time we finish, but it is what we do. We don't use any pre-made mixes or anything like that. We just cook the way we were taught at home. The menu changes based on what we can find at the market that looks good. We are just regular people trying to make a living by feeding our neighbors. Sometimes we run out of food earlier than expected, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s not a perfect system, but it is honest. We put a lot of care into every meal we send out of this kitchen.
