Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday is out in the village of Mukandpur, which is part of the Kanonda post office area in Bahadurgarh. It’s in the Jhajjar district of Haryana. This is a very different setting from the big city. It’s much more open, and you can see the fields nearby when you walk outside. Our place is a simple building where we handle food and catering services. We have a kitchen that gets very hot in the summer months, and a dining area that’s pretty basic with wooden tables and chairs. Most of the people who come here are from the village or people driving through the district on their way somewhere else. We don’t have a big menu with fancy names; it’s just good, simple food that we make fresh every day. The staff are all local guys who live nearby and walk or bike to work. It’s a quiet life for the most part, though it gets a bit more active when there’s a local event or a busy weekend with travelers. We spend a lot of time cleaning and prepping the ingredients in the morning. We get our supplies from the local markets in Bahadurgarh town. It’s not a polished, corporate restaurant. It’s just a local spot where people can get a meal. We’ve been at this location for a while and we like the slow pace of the village. There’s no rush here like there is in Delhi.
