Operating out of E-65 in Dakshanipuri, we spend most of our time thinking about roads and traffic. Routes Radio Taxi is a local operation here in New Delhi, and we’ve been at it for a while. Our office is pretty simple, just a place to coordinate the drivers and keep track of where the cars are. Dakshanipuri is a busy spot, and the noise of the street is always there in the background. We don't have a massive call center; it’s usually just a few of us answering phones and talking to the guys on the road. Delhi traffic can be a nightmare, so we spend a lot of our day trying to figure out the fastest ways around the jams. We aren't some high-tech app company; we are just people with cars and phones. If a driver is late because of a flat tire or a closed road, we tell the customer exactly what’s happening. We don't use scripts or corporate talk. It’s just about getting people from one place to another without a fuss. The office gets a bit dusty and the tea is usually cold because we are too busy to drink it, but that’s just how it goes. We know the city well, from the narrow lanes to the big flyovers. We just keep the cars moving and the phones ringing, day in and day out, right here in Haryana.
