R.K Aggarwal Railway Catering

We are based out of 1111 Champa Sadan in the Amritnagar area of Raebareli. Being involved with railway catering means our days start very early, often before the sun is even up. The kitchen is always moving, with people chopping vegetables and getting the big pots ready for the day’s orders. It’s a lot of work to manage everything for the trains. Raebareli is a busy place for the railway, so we have to stay on our toes. Champa Sadan is where we do all the prep and the packing. It’s a practical space, filled with crates and cooking equipment. We don’t really have time for anything fancy because the trains don't wait for anyone. If we are late, it’s a big problem, so we keep an eye on the clock constantly. The staff here is like a big family, mostly because we spend so many hours together in a small space. It gets quite hot in the summer months, but we just keep going. We handle a lot of different food items, making sure everything is packed tight and ready to move out to the station. It’s a lot of lifting and loading, and by the end of the shift, everyone is pretty tired. But then we do it all over again the next day. That is just how life is for us here in Amritnagar.
